Shipping policy

Processing Time
All orders are shipped from our warehouse in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY, within 5 business days. We aim for a quicker turnaround whenever possible, and in many cases, we can ship orders the same day they’re placed!

Estimated Shipping Time
Once your order leaves our warehouse, U.S. addresses should receive their package within 2-5 days, depending on the shipping method selected at checkout.

International order transit times can range from 1-6 weeks.

Shipping Address
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate and up-to-date shipping address.

To change your shipping address, please email us with your order number and the correct address at hello@footnotespaper.com within 24 hours of placing your order. If your order has already shipped, we are unable to update the address.

If an item is undelivered due to an incorrect shipping address, a full refund or replacement is not guaranteed.

Customs and Import Taxes
Customers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. We are not responsible for delays caused by customs.

Damaged Items and Replacements
If you received the wrong item or if your order was damaged during shipping, we’re happy to send a replacement. Please email us at hello@footnotespaper.com with a photo of the item and any damage to your order.

Unfortunately, we cannot replace items damaged after delivery.

Packages Lost in Transit or Not Delivered
If your order is marked as 'pre-transit' for over 2 weeks with no tracking updates, or if it’s marked as delivered but hasn’t arrived after 3 days, we’d be happy to consider it lost in transit and send you a replacement. Please check our FAQ page for more details.

Returns, Exchanges, and Cancellations
We accept returns and exchanges within 30 days of delivery. Customers are responsible for return shipping fees. Please include a note with your order number and the item(s) you’re returning or exchanging. Returns must be sent to this address within 30 days:

Once we’ve received your return, we can process an exchange or refund. Items must be returned in their original condition, or the buyer may be responsible for any loss in value. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method and may take 3-5 business days to process.

Clearance, final sale, and grab bag items are not eligible for return or exchange.

To cancel your order, please contact us within 24 hours of purchase. After that, cancellations are not guaranteed.
